Ali & Neil – Manorbier Castle, Wales

I couldn’t wait to share this wedding from one of the most amazing venues in the UK. Knowing Ali and Neil I knew they would come up with something special and that they did. It was an incredible day despite the strong winds!

Our location for the day, perched high up on a headland on the south west coast of Wales. The old Normal castle of Manorbier is a beautiful as you’d imagine it to be. Having the opportunity to photograph a wedding at this unique locations is quite another. After holidaying in Tenby just down the coast for years made this venue a perfect location for Ali and Neil’s wedding. Enclosed within the high stone walls of the castle across a small moat is a small cottage where Ali and her family got themselves ready for the day and at only a stones throw away is the ‘Crypt’ an old vaulted chapel where the ceremony would take place. It’s as rustic as it comes, but it is strikingly beautiful. We had no rain and a few spells of sunshine but a brisk wind made for an interesting day and kept us indoors for most of the day but that certainly didn’t affect anyone’s spirits.

It was such a great day an I wish Ali and Neil all the best for the future and thank you so much for feeding me and trying to give me as much cheese as possible 🙂

Venue: Manorbier Castle, South West Wales
