WHO? ME?
I am a wedding, commercial and landscape photographer currently living in Durham but often based in the South West of England.
I’ve had a passion for photography from a young age, often sneaking off with my father’s 35mm SLR and shooting rolls of film of anything I saw, probably not to his amusement… It wasn’t until starting college and finding a bridge between my studies in graphic design and my photography, did then, things really take off. After spending most of my savings on a Digital SLR I’ve never looked back.
With an ever growing photographic portfolio in many mediums of photography there really aren’t many subjects I haven’t shot. Spending my teenage years in Cornwall I discovered the wonders of landscape photography, which I still take great dedication in today. Since then, my focus has been more towards the challenges of Commercial and Wedding photography which presents a whole new realm of photographic opportunities.
Whatever the medium of my photography the principles stay the same, whether it’s the wedding couple backlit by warm afternoon sunlight or waiting patiently on top of a mountain for the sun to rise. It’s all about the light and finding new creative ways of capturing it. I always strive for creative, emotive and high quality images in my work.
